Re: 1985 MkII Supra 5-speed -- Stock, Mint, 63,500 Orig. Miles
MMMmmmmm, Jim Leaferman of Arizona... or is it Nebraska now....??? I'm thinking that the guy who thought I used "aliases" and then panicked because I asked him to wait two extra weeks to pick up my car (after he had asked me to wait three weeks for him) was the paranoid one... but wait a minute... isn't this HIM trying to pretend to be someone else here.... http://www.mkivforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=2745 ?
You can pretend that you actually care about other buyers on these forums, but it doesn't take any imagination -- or paranoia --- to realize that you actually just want revenge for not getting my car by exactly your own terms. You're a manipulative little weasel, but I'm not going to waste any more time on you. Remember: If "dishonest with the sale" means I ultimately didn't sell it to you... and it DOES... then consider me guilty! If I NEVER sold it, it would be worth it just to think about you sitting there, crying to your mommy! ![]() Last edited by Supracollector : 09-24-2008 at 04:51 PM. |

rotflmao!! What, are you about 13? Sure seems that way. You just scared away any prospective buyers with your childish name calling.
As for me, nothing to hide. I am from Nebraska (Go Big Red!), and have a home in Arizona. Revenge for what? Hahaha... Maybe you should click on the link to my site. I found the MkII I was looking for - less expensive and in better condition than the one you are still trying to sell (at a now inflated price). I have been a supra owner since 1989 (MkIII, MkIV, and 2 MkIIs), and have been a member of supras.com since 1996. Many in the Supra community have known me (or my 97tt RSP) for over 10 years. With only one exception (you, artistdon), every Supra owner I have met has been friendly and honest. I'm simply looking out for my fellow supra owners. Any of you are welcome to contact me regarding this seller and this car. Buyer beware!

Re: 1985 MkII Supra 5-speed -- Stock, Mint, 63,500 Orig. Miles
It's taken a LONG time, but...
... this Supra just sold to a VERY-good home. A nice couple (owners of another high-end Japanese collectible) who flew out here to see it, are having it enclosed-shipped back to Montreal, where you can expect to see it in the future at car shows and events up there. I believe the price --- $12,000 --- was fair for them and for myself, especially considering that the shipping will cost them more than $1500, and that the car still needed to have the A/C re-charged. More importantly for those of you following MkII Supra prices, just before we had confirmed the price, I received a cash offer from an old-car collector in Chicago for $12,900, but honored my agreement to sell the car to the Canadians. This, in spite of a "poor economy" (at least for those of us who actually work for a living), and the constant bad-mouthing here and elsewhere by "supra99tt", Dr. James Leiferman, who for years whined that he couldn't live without a "perfect white 1985 Supra", but I understand has now put the one he finally found up for sale after only two years of ownership. Although I don't own any more MkIIs at this point, I'd like to encourage those owners of nice original second-generation Supras to stick to your prices like I did and not continue to under-value them. With old 280Zs and 300ZXs bringing $18,000 at auction, you are really killing the market for your own cars by selling them for $7000, at a time when there are some pretty-sophisticated people --- such as my design-savvy buyers --- with the money to invest in the trend towards collectible Japanese cars. I'm sure this applies to the MkIV cars as well. There are a WHOLE LOT of people --- most in our so-called "upper-middle"-class, like Dr. Leiferman --- out there who were not significantly affected by the bad economy... in fact, many of them have been profiting from it, just as they profited from the job-outsourcing and healthcare-benefit elimination that has destroyed our lower-middle-class. They are now making out like bandits buying our cars, real estate, collectibles, and art at bargain prices. Do yourselves a favor and don't let them get these cars for next-to-nothing ----- in five years, the emerging trend to collect and preserve Japanese cars will be huge, so you'll be glad you held out for a fair price. That's my final two cents! |
